Can you keep us updated on what it entail to put that in the blind and how much work that is involve. . I kept my old one and if it not to bad I may try to get that part and get the blind fix that I have.. I surprised that they didn't see you being that it was closed to the two years mark.
I too will be curious to hear how this goes for you... One of my 2 blinds just died in the very same way yours did. I happen to have one spare (long story), but now I'm nervous about the other one going soon. Thanks!
I haven't received the control unit yet, but they sent me the link below which shows the process. The link shows a blind that when you press the button you hear the motor but it does not turn. They have you replace a plastic coupler with a metal one. In my case I hear no noise from the motor, so I assume they are sending me a whole new motor assembly. It's being shipped from China, I have a tracking link. As of yesterday it was still in China.
Link to disassembly process.
Received the new assembly today, just got it installed and it's all working again. Was a pretty easy fix, took about 30 minutes, including pairing and getting the down position set.
Thansk for the update! Bookmarking this in case I need to get one of those motors sooner or later ![]()
