Think twice before you name your devices

When you name your devices, take a moment to consider how Alexa will handle your device names. We know proper names can give Alexa fits, but what else can cause confusion. One community member sent us a list of names with how well Alexa handles them.

Thankfully you can change the names in the Alexa app or in the Hubitat Web Interface. You aren’t stuck with the Name (or Label) you give your devices.

Ok the Fish Tank had me laughing… now I’m trying to figure out why that one got the “Very Bad” label…

I have “Fish Tank Light” and Alexa handles that just fine.
