Thermostat Scheduler, should I be using a different app?

So, I'm trying to program/ schedule my thermostats. I have two Z-Wave, GoControl thermostats. One thermostat controls the downstairs temperature and one controls upstairs. I want to be able to schedule the two thermostats to have different temperatures settings at certain times...

For example: At night, when I'm not downstairs, I'd want to keep it cooler in the winter (heat to 66 degrees) and warmer in the summer (cool to 75 degrees) while programing the upstairs thermostat to be a comfortable 69 degrees. This doesn't seem possible using "Thermostat Scheduler" as the app only allows me to schedule both thermostats to the same temperature simultaneously via modes or times.

Something else I'm trying to achieve is to be able to control the change of temperature based on motion sensors. If I wake up in the morning, lets say 11:00am, and walk downstairs, I'd like for the motion sensor on the stairway to change the temperature of the downstairs thermostat to a more comfortable temperature. I guess I could base my mode on the motion sensor to, in turn, achieve this within TS, but I'm not sure that it is the best way to do it especially if I can't control individual thermostats in TS.

I'd also like to use a multi sensor to determine occupancy of a room and then have the thermostat control the temperature based on the temperature of that multi sensor reading instead of the thermostat reading.

I'm guessing that setting rules like this would be easier outside of TS. Should I still use TS for simple things like Away Mode settings and then schedule the other settings through something like Rule Machine ignoring Day and Night modes in TS?

I'm just a bit lost and confused on my best course of action to get things running the way I'd like them to.

Thanks!

Have you created a Thermostat Scheduler instance for each thermostat, like below? You can create as many as you need, as far as I understand.

If you haven't, just use the "Add Built-in App" button again to add an instance for your second thermostat.

ahhh! I was trying to do this, but I couldn't figure out how... So I need to add the app a second time.... ?!?! I'll try that!
