Thermostat Scheduler locked in away mode

I recently installed a Honeywell T6 Z-wave thermostat. I have it running through the built-in controller app, and the built-in scheduler app is set to control the 'controlling' virtual t-stat. I cannot get the scheduler to actually execute the programmed schedule: it only ever shows Away mode or Hold. I have deleted all away mode settings in the app, and attempted to set other modes based on specific times of day and sunrise/sunset, but the app never leaves away mode.

Also of note: when attempting to change the setpoint via Google Home, the change never seems to take. The slider usually pops back to the previous settings. May be more of a Google problem than a Hubitat problem, but throwing it out there in case someone has an idea. I'd like to be able to use the voice assistant to set the thermostat if needed.

I have experienced this using either heat or cool, but it seems to work fine when set to auto mode.

I've actually had it almost exclusively in auto since installation because we get a lot of temperature swings in Florida this time of year. Seems to happen regardless of other settings.
