Thermostat Controller and Honeywell T6 the saga

Have you had any chance to look at the errors and the battery reporting?

Haven't been able to reproduce the errors or the battery reporting.

Is there any more information or logging that I can provide to help with this?

I've got the line numbers for the errors just haven't been able to reproduce so that I can tell if I'm fixing it or making it worse. Nothing in the driver for the battery reporting, guessing that is a device firmware issue.

I only see the flood of traffic when using your driver, though. If I use the system Honeywell T6 driver or the Generic Z-Wave Plus driver the chatter is not reporting in logs, device events or hub load.

I am just trying to find out if there is anything else that I can do or if you are dropping it here and I need to work out another path forward?

I’m still looking into it, but on the road most of this week so it will be a few days before I have an idea on what can be done.

Can you verify that you're on v1.2.20 of the driver - 2 of line numbers you have listed as generating errors don't seem to line up to something that normally generates that error.

Yes sir.

What firmware do you have?

I have three T6s now.
Model TH6320ZW2003
FW 01--04--09--00 Date 2204 = Chatty - Replaced with the 2007 below
FW 01--04--05--00 Date 2135 = less chatty

TH6320ZW2007
FW 03-01-00-00 Date 2404 = more chatty than the 2003 on 1.4.5

In case you meant the Hub:
2.3.9.166 on C8 Pro

Hmm mine is 3.0

My TH6320ZW2007 shows:

Almost two days uptime and you can see the volume is nuts. Both T6s are currently running this driver and being controlled by the Thermostat controller app (the T-StatC devices).
TH6320ZW2003 FW 01-04-05-00 Date 2135 = T-Stat - N Hallway
TH6320ZW2007 FW 03-01-00-00 Date 2404 = T-Stat - S Hallway

I've looked and looked and there is nothing that I see in the driver that can produce the results you are showing. As to the volume is nuts, 1.8% of total (0.486 * 0.038) isn't out of bounds for any device. I do believe your device is sending way too many battery events, but that isn't something the driver regulates, just reports. Afraid there isn't anything that I can see to do that will change your experience. I would suggest turning off text logging if you want to reduce the number of log entries though.

Thanks for looking.

The issue for me is all the Z-Wave traffic that impacts the rest of my mesh when the T-stat is running. The other drivers don't have near that much traffic. I need to see if the traffic is ok if I don't user the Thermostat Controller app or if I just need to resort to using the system driver.

Just jumping in here ...
I just included this thermostat and I'm not seeing any of the preference settings described here. Is there another driver for this thermostat? I also don't see a circulate setting for the fan.

Use @thebearmay's driver from HPM

OK got it
