Ok, nice but where are the pinball machines?
In the main arcade currently folded down. (Bally Elektra) Right now all the machines are covered for dust. Working on the floor..... Then shift everything, work on the other side etc... Have about another month to go till done.
The ONLY reason I have never hung any neon/LED stuff is because of the wires showing, which I HATE.
Well done.
Get a Williams 'Pin-Bot' machine and I'll bring the beer. My all time favorite.
Cool. Not familiar with Elektra but I stopped working on them not too long after they went electronic, which was a long time ago.
I have a Gottlieb Bronco and Royal Flush, Bally Wizard and Old Chicago, Williams Space Odyssey and Doodle Bug, and a Chicago Coin Twinky, all in various states of working order.
This is going to look amazing.
Can't wait to see how this progresses. Beautiful.
If you guys are ever in Delray Beach, FL, definitely check out this place:
Elektra (1980) was the 1st 3 tier pinball machine... ![]()
I used these. 1" grommets. There is a store room on the other side of that wall. Simply installed a zigbee receptacle on the other side with a dual usb port charger plugged in. I removed the controller switches from the signs because they don't come on after power disconnect.
My wife encourages me to buy them so I'm just being an obedient husband
.
I have to police myself. Most I've ever spent on any single one is $500. There have been a few that I wanted really badly (including the first machine I ever had when I was 13) but I think the guy wanted $1500 for that one. Unless I win the lottery I'm not spending that much, although my wife wouldn't mind if I did (and she's not the extravagant type). I look for good deals on machines that need work.
About being single... I bought one of the machines from a guy who was newly divorced. His entire house (which was a really nice house) was full of pinball machines and old jukeboxes, and in his garage he had three old Corvettes and a lift. He actually cut a hole in the ceiling of his garage to accommodate a car up on the lift. He seemed very happy.
You found the right partner... Lucky man.
Great story, and I think that's the right combination... Wealthyand single. " ![]()

We were out last night and the band played Tom Petty's You Got Lucky. I always tease my wife when we hear it but she's a good sport and just rolls her eyes.
(I do know that's not the real meaning behind the song, but I can't help myself
)
I know people that have 30 or more pin's in their house. Bought Adams Family for around 17k a few years back.
My wife's Scottish and she rolls her R's
If you are any where near Ann Arbor MI, this place has a show a couple of times a year. Unreal collection of games https://vfwpinball.com/
Summer after sixth grade we drove across country (East to West) because we were moving to CA. We "camped" across country, staying at a lot of KOA Campgrounds. Our primary entertainment at the KOA Campgrounds turned out to be pinball...there were pinball machines at each KOA location in a small game room. After a long day driving w/three of us in the back of our VW bus chattering/fighting/asking for food/asking "are we there yet," our parents were very happy to give us a pile of quarters and pack us off to the pinball machines for a couple of hours.
Fun times...
I'm Dominican, I trill mine
(Though I do have a Scottish last name)
