I wanted to take a moment to thank both the Hubitat folks and this community for all the help and support I've gotten over the years of using my Hubitat. We're moving into a new house, and I've made the decision to move all my Z-wave and Zigbee stuff to core Home Assistant. I was using the Hubitat as a bridge to HA because I was running HA in Docker, and the Hubitat has been great, but as needs change, so does your setup.
Congrats on and good luck with the new house and hub, and remember you are welcome to come back here to HE anytime if the new hub does not work out....
I’m curious if you’ll find similar posts on the HA community forum. This community seems to be a lot more welcoming, and I don’t find near the sarcastic/offensive/belittling comments here that I’ve found on other similar community sites.
In other words, I find a lot fewer (if any) responses reminding people that “Google is your friend” here than elsewhere.
I totally get your decision to switch hubs - just commenting on the nature of this community.
Since I've been using HA as my core logic engine (the Hubitat was really just a Z-Wave/Zigbee bridge), I've been in the HA community for a while. You're not wrong about the nature of that community, but how I navigate that is already baked in.
@calinatl - I agree. The vast majority of my encounters here with other members are quite helpful and respectful. If only the rest of the interweb was like that.
@pkscout - Good luck and enjoy the new house. Maybe even come back once it's all set up and let us know how it went and what, if anything, you miss or don't miss about hubitat.
