T6 Pro ZWAVE Stat - impossible to program

I think I'm missing something very obvious here. I'm not a pro level user by any means (lights and previous stats).

I bought 2 new Honeywell t6Pro Zwave state to replace my former Honeywell stats where the zwave module/card kept losing signal.

They enrolled super easy, on my dashboard, can control and report no problem.

Question #1: The device type auto populated with the T6 Pro name. Just to check - I dont have to do anything else correct, All good, no other drivers etc?

Now I want to program them. I cant. The scheduling option in the stat does not have the standard wake/away/home/sleep settings. so

#2: Does this mean schedule has to be set by Hub only
#3: If the hub is ever disabled, will that functionality beocme available on the stats? (ie did they lose the functionality when they enrolled?)

#4: If the schedule does have to be controlled by the hub- how do i do that?

Sorry for the remedial asks!

in hubitat, go to apps>add built in app. Pick thermostat scheduler, enjoy. Oh and install the advanced honeywell t6 driver from hubitat package manager.

#4 ... There is a built-in app "Thermostat Scheduler" that you can install to handle mode or time scheduling.

The other questions, I don't think I can truly answer as I'm not familiar with the particular thermostat in question. But generally, yeah, Hubitat handles the schedule (for me anyway) and that's that. If Hubitat goes down so does my schedule, it will be up to me to walk over to the thermostat and manually
change it.

The t6 turns off its internal schedule if you connect it to zwave, so you have to use your Hubitat to control it.

makes so much sense, was losing my mind. Thanks!

quick follow up. I have the stat set only to two modes, home and away and temperatures for each. Couldnt quite figure where I could set times for each mode.

That would be done via another built-in app "Mode Manager".

Thanks! and thanks for the HPM advice!

Sorry, poorly worded question.
Not all of my modes show in mode manager. specifically I only have 3 modes: Home/Away/Night and respective thermostat settings for each.
There doesnt seem to be a way to adjust AWAY.
Essentially I want it as Home at all times - then scheduled AWAY during 9-5 M-F, or thereabouts. Low hanging fruit fix here?

Ah - this is kind of a quirky Hubitat gotcha I think ... the mode "Away" is a special one, like, reserved for certain required system purposes.

I would just make a new mode for what you're looking to do, call it "Not Home" or something then set the schedule for that. (and I guess the corresponding thermostat settings as applicable).

Or I suppose you could use Rule Machine to set mode at certain times ... but anyway, it was worth mentioning that "Away" is a special case.
