System shutdown url not working any longer [RESOLVED]

Noticed this during todays power outage..

I kept getting notificatoins even though hub should have been shut down.

I eventually shut it down manually to avoid corruption before the ups totally lost power, then cloned my rule to creat this test rule..

This in older rule machine 5.0

Oh that would be bad for me also, I have a UPS monitor running using the same shutdown command:

Not tempting fate today with a UPS test, We have the below zero and blowing snow to contend with here in Illinois.

mine is not port 8080 maybe it never worked but remember testing it and it did work previously will now update to port 8080 and retest. thanks

Yes I had to use port 8080 for it to work when I wrote the rules about a year or so ago.

thanks that was it.. weird i am sure i tested it at some point. thanks

entire rule is now this.. added 8080

I added [RESOLVED] to the thread title to minimize the number of people having heart failure.... :sunglasses:

I too use the shutdown command triggered during a power failure. I made it generic using the loopback IP address. The rule does not depend on the IP address is of your hub.

Except i.know i tested it in the.past and it worked without the 8080?

And.it was not generating any error so assume it acceped the url?

just must be going crazy

If you send it from another device other than the hub, i.e. a browser then the 8080 isn’t needed; only needed if the hub is both the sender and the recipient.

aha interesting thanks.. just tested it but still not working.. from browser..

i am pretty sure i tested from a rule and it worked because i was not using 127.0.0.1 but the actual ip..

Are you using Hub Security?

no..

not a biggee actually as i changed it in both of my hubs.. but think something did change somewhere.

Now you have me curious…. Time to poke around a little. :sunglasses:
