Switching between two thermostat schedules

I have two thermostat schedules set up for my HVAC with different temperature profiles. (ECO offset isn't good enough). They are disabled by complementary states of a virtual switch that I've named PowerSave.

When the switch toggles state, I see that the schedule in "Restricted" state flips. However, the activated schedule doesn't set the temperature for the scheduled time interval. It is however possible to manually force the scheduler to set the temperature with the "Set Scheduled Temperatures" button, but I see no option to trigger this action on transitions.

Is there a way to do this?

Here is a rule I have that shuffles with 4 different schedules (2 of them are normal schedules for winter) and 2 others are for pre-heat house before a power save state. So any of the virtual switches that changes will trigger and activate the new schedule.

Sorry for the french words in there, I'm in Quebec.

Hi nclark,

Thank you for the example. It shows that a rule can "Activate Scheduled Setpoints" for a given Thermostat Scheduler. I overlooked that possibility in the long list of actions available in Rule Machine.

I'll try to add a rule that will activate scheduled setpoints on switch toggle or mode change.
