Switch with pool lights

Good morning.
I’m connecting up some of my brothers pool equipment to an HE system to bet some basic automations. I have the pool pump on a jasco 40 amp. Works great. I have another 40 amp Jasco relay that I was going to put his pool lights on but that seems overkill. The lights are Jandy JLU4C12W. When I search on Jandys website I’m
Pretty certain they are only 12w each. ( low voltage as well - already run from a low voltage transformer ).
I seem to recall that some smart switches don’t like LEDs but I’m starting to think that was dimmers not switches.
I have 2 switches I can choose from. GE Embrighten or a zooz zen 76.
The switch is sending power to the low voltage transformer, the 4 lights are connected to the transformer.
I know the load is certainly small enough. Any reason I can’t drive the low voltage transformer from either of the 2 switches I have?
Mac.

I would contact Zooz and or GE to find a "switch" that is rated for transformers. Some "switches" are really just dimmers that are always at 100%. There are reasons not all devices will drive a transformer.
You should look for a device with an actual mechanical contact (aka relay) to be sure your compatible with the lights you have.

One of the switches I had was the new embrighten. Said was good for 900w resistive load. I know a transformer is more inductive than resistive but Seeing as it was a week end and no one open to talk to I connected it. Seems to work fine but I will reach out to see if it’s rated.
We’re in eastern Canada. No options locally but I can order something if needed. Appreciate the input.

It will probably be fine. My suggestion of "physical contacts" was very conservative. The inductance of a transformer is really pretty low with most of the "apparent" load that reflected by its load.

Just a sanity check, make sure the aluminum plate on the switch is not super warm.

I've been using these Enbrighten plugs to control some LV transformers on outdoor lighting for quite a while, no complaints.
