I'm looking at swapping 2 zigbee devices over and was thinking of being lazy and not going through all the apps there connected to

Could I just swap the zigbee id's over on the devices page??

This won't work long term (since you can't change the 64bit address), you can include the new device, rename the old one, swap them in apps, then delete the old.

Thanks, it was in quite a few apps and was hoping I could do the z-wave trick, guess not.

It would be actually great if there is a functionality in HE to do this device replacement. For example you decide to replace all aqara sensors with different ones, then you just add the new one and tell hubitat to replace the original one. Hubitat would them replace it in all apps/rules.

I thought it would be straightforward to, I would imagine each device has its own id in the dB so it would just be a case of swapping those over
