i am aware of the tool that allows you to swap one device for another, which i understand makes replacing devices in a system easier. I have used it once with a same-device swap but i am looking at swapping a z-wave radiator TRV with a zigbee TRV.
The set-point and current temperature values/parameters are being in various apps.
Will doing a swap be a safe bet or would i be better to build new apps to match the new device rather than do a swap? I'm not sure if HE addresses these parameters the same or if any difference in parameter naming may upset things.

It should work no problem. You can always to a backup/restore if it doesn't work perfectly.
