I have checked settings and updated hubs. I migrated to the to the C8 and have always had the same Sunset Sunrise on both hubs. It has NEVER changed. Wondering if problem migrated from the old hub to the new.
Welcome aboard, hopefully this is pretty easy to solve. It isn't a common issue, so there is probably just something that is missing.
Could you please screenshot your Hub Details page from the Settings tab? Either redact or hide your hub ID and MAC address, and any email or things like that. There are hide buttons for a couple settings you can use to make it easy.
You may need to join the hub owners group to post screenshots because it is your first time posting, the following link lets you do that. Hubitat
Are the Lat/Long correct, at least in the right vicinity of where you live? I think that might be what is used for the sunrise and sunset.
Yes, I checked it with the tool.
Only thing I can think of would be to clear the zip and lat/long, save. Maybe reboot for good measure. Then go back in and set the Zip, then lat/long again. Maybe change the time zone to something else, save, then back again. Just in case something is stuck with an old/bad setting cached somewhere. Otherwise it looks like it should be working.
The hub can reach the internet right? Do you have anything blocked with DNS blocking? Not sure where it gets the data from but I am sure it is hitting the internet for it somewhere.
Thanks for your help! I don't think anything is blocking it. Get updates ok. I will try the changes with a reboot.
If you have any sort of DNS ad blocking setup, try whitelisting the hub if you can, just in case it is being blocked. Or you could manually set the DNS of the hub to something else in the network settings to get around your local DNS (if you have blocking setup at all, such as pi-hole).
Would you rebuild database on Reboot?
No leading or trailing spaces? Minus on long?
Something like 39.03699, -119.72338
If you have never done a soft reset or backup / restore recently then you could try the rebuild. It has been known to randomly fix other things in the past and its always worth a shot.
Change and reboot worked. Thanks so much. Merry Christmas!
