Suitable camera for use with Hubitat supporting API/webhooks

Hello

I am looking for POE camera system which allows me to handle events from camera in HE.
I am not an expert so correct me if I am wrong please

While I want to "ask" camera for something API should work correctly but if I want to know for example if motion is detected I would have to poll camera every couple seconds which is not good solution I think.

Are there any ways to make camera send notification to HE while some event is detected? I have read something about webhooks which should be added to Reolink cameras soon but I am not sure if it's something what I am looking for.

Any other ideas?

I thought about BCS cameras which are pretty good I think.

I would look at Camect. Directly integrates into HE and you can use any camera you want. (I use Foscam cameras myself because they're cheap and work well) Also easy to display in iframes on your dashboard.

I use the UniFi Protect system.

The cameras support a "snapshot" mode which lets me refresh dashboards with camera images every 1 second.

Additionally, there is an excellent community developed driver that brings in motion detection, doorbell camera button push, etc.
