Suddenly having Zwave issues [C7] [2.2.6.140]

Noticed this morning and was able to recover with a shutdown and power disconnect. Just discovered again tonight things are unresponsive.

I had it happen with Zigbee. Two devices would not respond. I tried manually running their script and it seems to hang with the hourglass saying sending. Actually the lights left in the on condition. I rebooted the hub, no help. I tried to recover an archived backup, seemed to run but after booting it didn't look like the version # backed down. Then I noticed the dashboard was running on my phone in 2 different browser instances. I killed all instances of the dashboard and relaunched and they seemed to return to normal?

Another reboot and power disconnect this morning brought things back for a minute or so and then they all went unresponsive again. I'm not sure what kind of information I need to be sharing to figure this out.

AGH! Then I see this....

Even stranger....

I did a cloud restore...now my database size says 15! It's usually floating around 51.

However, Zwave function has been maintaining for longer than before. Will continue to monitor...

Zigbee network not online usually means hub is overloaded, when that happens zigbee is 1st to go, followed by the rest of the hub. Check your logs and also look for ghost z-wave devices(device on z-wave details under settings) will be missing "in / out" clusters.

@markbellkosel84 Any bulbs in your mesh? Any ghosts in your z-wave table?

No bulbs. I've been checking since this morning and everything is still online.

No ghosts. Nothing that I've noticed out of order in logs.

Another option is to shutdown from the settings menu, unplug at the wall. Wait 30 mins than plug back in. This will clear your z-wave radio and throw your zigbee mesh into panic mode. Let settle for a day. Maybe run a z-wave repair for giggles after

I just checked again and Zwave is down again! Ugh! This is really irritating.

Is it possible that some apps are causing high hub load and taking it out? I notice that Thermostat Scheduler and Preferences Manager both take a long time to load.

@bobbyD

You were looking at device and app stats?

Also you don't have any zooz 4-in-1's installed at s0 do you? How many things in your z-wave table show as s0?

I was going off of the fact that they both take a very long time to load compared to anything else.

This is what I have for details.

So in the logs check out the app stats and also maybe the device stats. See if there is anything crazy going on there. Not sure it will help of course but it is something to look at..

Just got home and things still are unresponsive. I shut down and disconnected. Didn't even make it 15 minutes and everything went out again! I really wish I had a better understanding of what I was looking at in the details. @bcopeland

Just looking at your device list, you have several power-monitoring devices. Those could be spamming your mesh with frequent reports. I would suggest turning off power monitoring on some or all unless needed, and turn down the reporting and thresholds. There are quite a few threads in the forum about this on the C-7.

I'm going to try that. It's just really frustrating to have this happen all of the sudden.
