I did n ot request any firmware updates for devices.. any way to figure out what device is trying to do this.. nothiong else in the logs showing a request.

Reminds me of spurious zigbee FW update messages that were appearing some few releases back. There were fixes put into place and I haven't seen it recurring since.
Are the messages in the log recurring?
no just that once in the lasst 24 hours or so.
also didnt request any firmware updates and cant find any zigbee devices not working.
So, different from the other issue, which had them repeating regularly.
I didn't find any in my logs... 
I had those a while back. Staff said at that time they were harmless. In one case I found a device with a low/dead battery that was (apparently) making this happen. Other times it just came and went. I haven't tried any Zigbee firmware updates in years, and not on the C8 at all.
Not sure if these messages have any effect on my mesh. I do have Zigbee issues, but I am not sure the two things are tied together.
