got this error today in the aem dryer device driver.. any idea.
Did you switch to ZWJS or is this on legacy ZIP still?
That error does not make any sense with the code screenshot you posted. Would need to see the full code with line numbers.

What does debug logging show if you enable that so the line that shows the actual values gets printed to Logs?
it only happened that once so probably some bad data but it if starts happening again i will turn it on. .i dont think it stays on so would have to modify the code in that case.

I see now, I saw the command class at the top did not match but it’s a multichannel parsing right into the metering in the same function. Normally it would be broken up into another function.
Easy to do since you have it and could just remove the if check. 
But you can also just delete the scheduled job that automatically disables it. That is under Logs > Scheduled Jobs and would work for any app or driver with no code modification.
