Stopping a Fade (over time) Automation (without overcomplicating matters)

I have a few automations established using RM that will fade lights (or raise/lower blinds) (collectively the "Fade") over a period of time (ie. 30 minutes).

Question: what can I insert into the automation in order to cancel the Fade if I were to manually adjust the device.

Example: During the 1 hour preceding sunset, lights Fade up to 100% over the course of 1 hour. If I turn off these lights I would like the Fade to stop. Otherwise I turn off the lights and the Fade resumes turning the lights back on.

You need another rule with a cancel rule timers as the action and point it at the fade rule. If your switch supports it something like physical switch change as a trigger should work.
