Stinky Sensors

What the problem is? In a bathroom very quiet Philips fan runs on a low speed 24/7. When someone takes shower or bathroom occupied for more than 5min fan runs on a high speed until humidity is b ack to preoccupied value plus 10 more min. Then it switched back to low speed.

The problem is that I don't have a two-speed bathroom fan. Don't think I've ever seen one, for that matter.

Panasonic (sorry, not Philips) has a very nice line of bathroom fans.
But even with a single speed fan simply turn it on (maybe with a few min delay) when someone gets into the bathroom and turn it off with a delay when person leaves.

Yes, that's the current approach — on when door closed and occupied, stays on briefly after the door opens and motion stops. But the littlest doesn't always close the door in case she needs to yell for us, and the oldest has stopped closing the door because he hates the fan. So I'm trying to both scope to only when it's needed and trigger regardless of the door.

OK, very special case. I have a Bidet Seat and can easily detect if somebody actually using a toilet with smart outlet which is capable to report power. I used this option before I replaced PIR with mmWave. Good Bidet Seat is not cheap but it is very welcome and lovely addition.
