I have two question about Stelpro STZW402+ Z-wave

1. How can I use external Temperature Sensor?

2. I only want the Heating working 6 AM to 6 PM.

Well, first of all, this is not supported by a native driver, so you would have to install a community supported driver. There is one for this device and it can be found here:

Here is an earlier one that I found that actually seems to work. All I did was change physicalgraph to hubitat. So far though this did control the heat setpoint and report back correctly. Are you planning on using Thermostat scheduler? If not, what you are proposing wanting to do is very easy and there are many, many different ways to do it. I would suggest you look at Rule Machine. There mare many tutorials here on the forum on how to set those kind of rules up.
