I just booted up my new C-8 and migrated all settings from my old C-7 successfully. But after setting its IP to my old C-7's one, unplug C-7 and reboot C-8. It won't connect to the network and flashes green and red. Is there anyway to connect to reset the device's internet settings at this point or is there a way to connect to its wifi even though I haven't set it?
The Hubitat folks suggest you do NOT use a static IP. Instead use a "reservation"
My C8 powered up and the router talked to the hub with no manual interference from me.
Thanks! I forgot that suggestion and if I can power it up again I will go with the reservation...
I somehow managed it by randomly clicking the reset button repeatedly to reset it back to DHCP. Doesn't seem to be holding 7 secons pattern any more.
That means no physical connection. Check the cable, switch, etc
Maybe it's the network connector.....always unplug it from the switch/router not the C8
