Square D Outlet

Just purchased a Square D Zwave Outlet from Amazon. Included in my Elevation Pro 8 without issue. Looking for Square D drivers to take advantage of monitoring capabilities. Does anyone have any experience with these outlets and switches?

I didn't read every word on the product description, but I didn't see any info on what generation z-wave these are (e.g. 500, 700, etc), which seems pretty odd.

The built-in Generic Z-Wave Outlet (or Generic Z-Wave Plus Outlet) driver is where I'd start... Assuming the available parameter options are spelled out in the manual, you can always set any non-exposed parameters using the Basic Z-Wave Tool.

I agree. I was looking for the generation, but couldn’t find anything on Amazon or Square D site. I bought them because they were very cheap.

I used the generic outlet driver. Haven’t looked into gathering the consumption data yet. I just thought that I ask to see if anyone else had any experience with Square D.

Thanks for responding.

It does mention S2 security, so 700 or 800.

FYI - 500 series zwave chips can support S2. Only 300 and 100 series chips cannot.

This is a ZWave Plus 500-series device.

Thanks for confirming - I didn't think to look it up on the ZWA page (or similar resource). But being 500 would explain it having a lower price.

Yup. Also, if it was 700 or 800 series, it would be advertised as “ZWave Plus v2”.
