Special order smart shades direct from China?

Has anyone on this sub special ordered smart shades direct from China? If so, and you had a good experience, I'd love a referral.

I'm seeking outdoor, blackout (NOT sun filter), very large format smart motorized roller shades for an extra waide & tall sliding door. I'd prefer a hardwired setup with a zigbee or zwave motor so it works with Hubitat direct, without needing to go through Bond.

I was able to find an Amazon seller who may have what I need, but a few things were unclear, so I sent a set of questions via Amazon. The seller took about 4 days to send a partial reply, which I thanked them for and reasked the balance of the questions. That was over 10 days ago, so I don't think I'll get a reply; this makes me reluctant to further deal with that seller. But a while back I read a post (not sure if it was here) of someone who had a very good experience with a Chinese mfg for special order shades...

It doesn't quite check all of your boxes, but have you considered SmartWings?

  • China - product ships directly from China, even though the company has a TX address.

  • Responsive - I asked a handful of questions before ordering and replies were consistently quick and helpful.

  • Blackout - I see 1% openness, so not purely blackout.

  • Hardwired - My indoor shades are hardwired, but I did have to contact them to make sure that this option was properly configured.

  • Hubitat - Zigbee, Z-wave, Matter ... pick your protocol.

Thank you. I'd love to order from them but surprisingly, 1% openness is incredibly transparent, especially at night when the lights are on inside and it is dark out. These outdoor products seem to be made to allow airflow. In my situation, I don't care about airflow; only privacy. I'm installing the blinds on the outside/covered porch side due to interior aesthetics only...

I've also been advised that dark brown/bronze is the preferred (ie only acceptable) color for the shade enclosure/bottom bar, and highly desired for the shade itself. Smartwings seems to be more focused on the gray colors rather than the browns/dark tans.
