As you can see below I have way more questions than answers
My niece who is an physical therapist wants me to take cheap lights from amazon and come up with something similar to
cheap lights (search amazon for LED Puck Lights)
the overall goal is that you press 1 light and when you do another light turns on. To accomplish that the arduino would need a switch input and a relay or something to turn on the light.
Then the hard part, communicate with 6+ other devices. I don't know MQTT but could there be a central unit that they all talked to and would turn on a light, wait for press, and then turn on another?
Protocol wi-fi is the cheapest (bluetooth chips are somewhat expensive)........
Regarding wi-fi....is it even possible to have units talk between themselves without a router?
Could the central unit have a router ?
She obviously doesn't want to need a hubitat hub (too expensive)...
Thanks for any ideas !!
