Right now my sonos does an announcement when a door opens, but if music is playing it stops the music and then after the announcement, it starts the song over. any way around this, its annoying especially during a partly. I just want to pause the music and then resume. not start over.

No, I switched to using Alexa for my door announcements so I can keep my music going.

I only do it for doors that get opened and I let the alexa handle that part not Hubitat. I share the door contacts with Alexa and if it becomes opened she says what door is open. (I had to create a rule for each one)
With the Sonos from what I can see it has to do with the way they sync the music with one another and if one is triggered to play something else they kick it out of the group playing.
I did play around with trying to stop all of them, play the announcement on the one and then resume them all, but there is no way from what I have found to select where in the song it resumes. especially when its from random sources.
I might try again one day, but for now alexa works ok. I don't really have many announcements, just my doors when opened. everything else like the mail has arrived is done with a app notificatrion instead.
