Sonos Integration Fails After a Few Days

Hello. I have started to use my Sonos Playbar for TTS announcements. I was amazed at how easy the integration was.

Unfortunately it seems that after a few days it fails. The Sonos will not accept any text to speech commands at all. If I rerun the Sonos Integration app it finds finds the Playbar as if new and lets me add it. At that point I have two Sonos devices (with the same name) in my device list, one of which is dead. I delete the dead device then go through the rule machine, notification, and HSM apps to read the “new” Playbar.

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Is the ip of the sonos remaining consistent?

Good question. I don’t know but can easily make it a reserved IP. Will do so now.

So, that did not work. It seems like there is some collision between Hubitat, Amazon Echo, and Sonos. At this point, the only things that will play on the Sonos are the Hubitat hub and the TV connected via a fiber optic cable. Amazon Echo will take the command but nothing happens. The Sonos app will show the last text entered on the Hubitat, but will not play anything else. Weird. Oddly during the process of doing this the database on my C7 was corrupted and I had to do a restore.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

I have reboot just about everything and reinstalled the Sonos app several times. Still the same issue. I can send a test to the Sonos via hubitat. I can have it play tv audio via the fiber optic cable. But it wont respond to Amazon Echo or the Sonos App. Although I can replay the last text played from Hubitat from the Sonos app.

What should I do next?

Update: I took the Sonos devices off reserved IP. Restarted everything including routers, switches, sonos devices hub and echo. Then added back to reserved IP, and at least for now everything works….
