I've got a strange issue with a Sonoff device. I'm using Sonoff Orb (SNZB-01M) buttons (round 4 button) as bedside buttons for lights, TV lift, fan etc. They are paired to the hub using Zigbee (they have a switch for Tuya or Zigbee) and I'm using a driver that I had ChatGPT create. All functions work quickly and reliably, except....
About once a month, the button stops working completely. There's no LED flash when I press any of the buttons - dead. The battery is fine. To get it working again I just unscrew the cover, pop out the battery and insert it again and all is working...for about a month before the same happens again.
What is strange is, that it's about the same duration each time before it fails. Stranger still is that 1 day later, the one at the other side of the bed will do the same. So I go for about a month, mine fails and I remove/insert the battery to revive it then the following day my wife's does the same. Always about a month, always in the same order and always one day after the other. Any ideas - I'm bemused. I'd like to use these elsewhere as I have them working single, double, triple tap and hold so they're very useful.
