Sonoff 4ChR3 Wifi Connection problems

Hello everyone. This is my first post here.
I'm new to hubitat and having problems with my sonoff ch4r3 wifi switch. I linked it to the evelink app. I installed both drivers and the sonoff connect application on my hubitat from here:
[RELEASE] Sonoff (Connect) I assigned a static IP address to the switch and I was able to connect it to hubitat but please look at the photos. After pressing any button, nothing happens and the logs show "connection refused" error. Is it the fault of the stock switch firmware? There was also firmware in the given link, but I did not flash it. If it is required, I will ask for some instructions  I'm doing it for the first time and I wouldn't want to break anything

The simplest thing to do would be to send it back and replace with a zigbee 4-channel switch, such as one made by MHCOZY. Which is supported by a built-in/native driver, with no need for flashing etc.

Sonoff Connect will only work with a specific firmware. I don't maintain it anymore, but there are several "Tasmota" based solutions that would work better. Search the community for that and there will be lots of resources.

Thank you for the answers and sorry for the long lack of reply. I ordered MHCOZY switches which @aaiyar recommended to me. I hope they will run smoothly. Probably sonoff would work too, but this is simpler. I don't want to risk breaking something during uploading new firmware.

Hey @Blind_Joe, yesterday I went though the whole process and found a solution. This driver seems to do the trick. I didn't solder anything, but still had to flash the new firmware. I am trying to figure out how to get the inching/interlocking to work.
