I am just checking if anyone else has this issue. I am running a Lutron dimmer in a room with a Hue motion sensor. I have set turn off for "motion become and stay inactive for 0 minutes". This way the light goes off within seconds of leaving the room. Works really well and looks cool about 80 percent of the time. For the other 20 percent, the light does not turn off unless you walk back into the room to retrigger the sensor and then leave. It will turn back out then. The problem seems to go away when I change the turn off to "motion become and stay inactive for 1 minutes". So maybe the 0 minute setting is messing with something to give the inconsistency.
Just wanted to see if this happens to anyone else and if they might have resolved it. Thanks.
Please post screenshot of logs of this happening. There was a recent change to how 0 minutes is handled, but it should not cause a failure to turn off.
Also what seems to trigger the staying on of the light is if I am in that room for a period of time longer than a few seconds.. If I just walk in and walk out it almost always works all the time. The lingering seems to create the problem.
I have also tried to switch to the "Motion inactive" instead of "Motion stays inactive for 0 minutes" . I have been testing this, and so far it seems to be holding pretty solid and not keeping the lights on.
What release are you on? This was a problem that got fixed. There were sometimes failures for 0 minutes. If you haven't done so, update to the latest release.
OK great, I was on the last release before this more recent one. I have installed it and am testing now. Will let you know how it goes.
Update: It seems to have done the trick with the most recent update! I will keep an eye out in the future and make sure I am updating promptly. Thanks for the point in the right direction.
