Something doesn’t seem right with Alexa. It looks like I have two of them in the log file. There are two devices that say Amazon Alexa skill.
Look in your apps list, do you have it installed twice?
I just looked at my apps list and I only see it once.
It’s only listed once in the app list. I replied earlier but I forgot to reply to you.
Even though it only appears once in the app page, it does seem to be there twice, as there are two distinct app numbers: app:37 & app:164.
If you click on the “error”, it will open the app.
What I would recommend, is first, backup your hub and save a copy in case something goes wrong. Then open the Amazon Skill from the App page and check what is its app number. You should then see the app number in the browser URL field. Ex.: “/installedapp/configure/37/mainPage”.
Then from the log file, you can open the other one and hit “Remove” on the bottom.
Not seeing anything that talks about a browser URL.
Clicked on the error codes and it does tell me that app 37 does not exist on this hub. I assume somehow I need to get rid of that 37.
It’s also possible that the OP has a corrupted Database. I would suggest, just as you suggested, making and downloading a backup, then following the Soft Reset procedure and then reloading the saved (and now sanitized) backup Database.
That’s harmless, ignore it. It just means that the link in the log file is to a non-existent app.
A corrupted database does indeed seem likely.
I’m being told that this is normal behavior and that the log file will eventually disappear and does not cause any issues while it remains. I’m told that when you delete a device and then re-create the device with the same name you will have two log files. So I guess there isn’t really a problem.
Yeah if you deleted and reinstalled the app, that is normal, each time you install an app it gets assigned a new unique ID number.
