Some switches fail to turn off/on

Some of my switches (and bulbs, using the switch) fail to reliably turn off or on. Is there anything that can be done? They are zigbee switches and lights. Mostly sengled that act up.

Turning off/on manually usually works, though sometimes I have to do that a couple times
Argh!

This is why the added Command Retry. Enable command retry on the driver preference page for those devices.

You can also go to Settings - command retry to enable retry on many devices at once.

awesome! I will report back tomorrow with results.

I would also note that command retry can fix this type of issue, however, the underlying cause may be your Zigbee mesh. I would add some repeaters to try and fix the issue of the commands being missed in the first place.

The easiest way to add repeaters is to put some Zigbee Outlet plugs in spaces between devices, as most mains powered devices act as repeaters.

Also, note that the Sengled bulbs do not act as repeaters, so they are not helping you. They do this on purpose in case people cut power to the bulbs, so it won't mess with your Zigbee routes if the bulb is totally powered off.

I also have a bunch of Sengled bulbs, they have a tendency to miss commands unless they are in a solid Zigbee mesh. There are many posts here about Sengled bulbs doing things like this.

I have lots of repeaters, spaced out. The retry setting seems to have helped..
