Some Lutron devices show up in integrator but not devices

I use both Hubitat and Lutron Devices. Yesterday I added 4 new Lutron Devices (3rd Floor Porch Fan, 2nd Floor Porch Fan, 1st Floor Porch Fan and 1st Floor Porch Dimmer.) I added them manually using the Lutron Integration report. The relevant part looks like this:

"ID" : 26,
"Name" : "Ceiling Fan",
"Area" : {
"Name" : "3rd Floor Porch"
}
},
{
"ID" : 27,
"Name" : "Ceiling Fan",
"Area" : {
"Name" : "2nd Floor Porch"
}
},
{
"ID" : 28,
"Name" : "Ceiling Fan",
"Area" : {
"Name" : "1st Floor Porch"
}
},
{
"ID" : 29,
"Name" : "Lights",
"Area" : {
"Name" : "1st Floor Porch"
}
}

I manually entered them into the Hubitat Lutron Integrator and got this:

Afterwards, neither of the 1st Floor items showed up in Hubitat devices:

I have tried rebooting both hubs; deleting and re-entering the last 2 items, but I canโ€™t get them to show up.

My hub is up to date:

Is there a limit on the number of devices that the integrator can link to devices?

Any thoughts on fixing this would be appreciated. Iโ€™ve got 5 or 6 more Lutron switches to install and I want them available to use in Hubitat.

Weird. I have way more than 29 devices so you have not reached any sort of limit that I can see.

I'm gonna take a guess on this one, and it is just a guess so if you get other advice I'd try that first. You might consider doing a backup, saving it locally, doing a soft reset, followed by a database restore. If there's corruption in your database this will usually clean it.

@johnrharlow How does the integrator line look? For instance ceiling fan should look like this (assuming you're using fan switches)

f,27, Ceiling Fan - 1
(ignore the integration report spelling as this will establish the device in hubitat)

f,28, Ceiling Fan 2

and so on.

If you have the telnet direct switch on the integrator page turn it on and insure the Lutron ip is correct.

Here are the 4 entries from yesterday (I tried shortening the names, dropping the word Ceiling earlier today. Made no diff)

I'm going to add more devices today. I guess if they also don't make it over to devices, I will give that a shot.

Yeah... I take it the rest of them are working fine?

They are. I also looked into the settings of this instance of the lutron integrator app and the last 2 devices I added (1st floor) were the first lutDev devices in the 2X range. IDK if that's indicative of anything.

Just as info, I did a backup/soft reset/restore. No change

I have 58 devices on one of my Lutron Hubs/Integrations - I don't think you are near any limit (I believe the limit is 75).

Another data point. I created a second Lutron integration to the same hub and added the 2 missing devices. They show up in the integration, but not in devices. They are lutDev1 and lutDev2 in that integration.

I would think if there was an issue with the "telnet direct" switch it would affect existing devices as well but you might try flipping the switch the other way and see...

I downloaded the JSON integration file for my Lutron Integration; deleted the integration; created a new integration and loaded it from the exported file.

Now all of my devices seem to be there

@mike.maxwell or @bravenel Any thoughts on why once in the integration it doesn't create the devices in the device list?

Did you hit Done in the Lutron Integration after adding the devices to the configuration list? And did you refresh the Devices page after doing this?

Yes, I hit done, I refreshed, I rebooted the hub several times, i even rebooted the Lutron pro hub. I did a full backup and soft reset and restore as well. None of that worked.

Cloning the Lutron Integration by exporting, deleting, creating, importing is what finally fixed it.

I had a similar problem but finally tracked it down to a bad character in my configuration list. I had a typo with a period instead of a comma :man_facepalming:
