Oh, believe me, I had considered several rather ugly possibilities! My problem is that these are the only sensors I've ever found with a decent looking recessed mount/very clean appearance. I actually purchased a couple of different Zigbee sensors a few days ago in consideration of mounting them in the TriSensor enclosure. This in itself requires some effort since I'd have to manufacture some sort of frame to properly secure it in the housing. I figured that I'd wait until Aeotec sent me the older firmware to give these one more shot. These have been incredibly frustrating. I have a GE/Jasco sensor that worked quite well. Again, it came down to mounting and appearance.

I've had a lot of irritating failures using the built in ota. Nowadays I just pair a z-wave stick as a secondary controller and use that for my updates.
