[SOLVED] Alexa and Scenes- A: Disconnect Hubitat from Alexa and reconnect

Hello, all.

I have a C8 pro, and have recently set up my first scenes. I'm trying to integrate this to Alexa.

They have been added to the HE as Scenes, which work fine. The Scenes have been added to the Amazon Echo Skill as devices. Alexa's list of devices does not include these scenes. Said list DOES include the individual devices (dimmers) from which the scenes are comprised.

It was my understanding that scenes could be added as devices in this way, and that Alexa would recognize them. I'm sure it's something stupid, so fire away.

Thank you!

Stephen.

What app on the hub did you use to create the scenes? Asking because there are at least two ways, Room Lighting and Groups and Scenes, that you could have used. Either should an activator device. If it did and that's not working, what does "Current States" look like for the activator device?

Hi, and thanks for the response. I used Groups and Scenes. Currently, there are two of the scenes that are "not set" and one that is "on." Under the Skill app, the selected devices match the three scenes.

And what do you see under "Current States" on the device detail page for the activator device?

All are "switch: on." I figured that like Sonos, Alexa wouldn't see what wasn't there. And since it isn't a persistent state of on, I've tried toggling the snot out of them. Didn't work.

Told Alexa to "discover devices" and then toggled one on and off a pile of times. No good. Then toggled just once. No good. During this time, I added a couple of Sonos devices, which it immediately found.

Is that it? Please share the entire section.

Thank you for the responses. Nothing made sense, so I disconnected Hubitat from Alexa and relinked. Once I did this, they appeared. Now new problems, which I will post separately. Thank you again.
