I use a combination of FirstAlert and Halo smoke detectors, and wrote an app that sets off my Utilitech Sirens if one of the smoke detectors senses smoke. I added a "Then wait until..." action that turns off the sirens when a smoke detector senses that smoke has cleared. All of my smoke detectors are listed in both the first and second action.
I am concerned that, configured that way, as soon as any of the smoke detectors in another area of the house reports that it has not sensed smoke, the sirens will turn off, even if one of the detectors is still sensing smoke.
I don't see a way to configure the second action to only turn off the sirens if the activated detector no longer senses smoke.
Any suggestions?
I think that you will have to use Rule Machine for this...
If ANY report smoke, sound alarm
If ALL report smoke clear, stop alarm.
Thank you -- that solved it!
