Does anyone know if the battery level / status reporting of Samsung smartthing motion sensors actually works properly with Hubitat?
YMMV but it didn't work really well for me under ST and is definitely suspect under Hubitat...

Proper battery reporting depends on type of battery use. Alkaline batteries report correctly, lithium batteries stay steady through most of their life and have a steep drop off at the end.
I have 6 of them and haven't had any issues with status reporting in the last year. If you have a ST hub download the latest firmware and then factory reset them before joining them. There was a firmware update a while back that addressed fast battery drain issues.
I am seeing better reporting than when it was connected to smartthings
