This... I've found that the biggest deterrent to anyone breaking into my house are my cameras. I have plenty of them in plain view (and others that are hidden) and hours of video of people walking up my lawn, seeing a camera and then quickly turning around and walking away.
Lol. In my neighborhood anyone walking would be noticed!
Heck, unfamiliar cars are noticed as well.
I'm with you on cameras though, I'm doing a BOM for my Ubiquity Camera project....I think it might be my Christmas present to me!

Even the cats in my neighborhood give the cam a double take when the IR kicks on.
