Does anyone know if this will work as a generic device?

I took the gamble on this to replace a non-smart controller and it worked out. Detected/joined as generic device, but switching to advanced zigbee rgb controller and working fine so far. (about a day). I bought it because it had the same pinout as the strip lights that were already installed.
