any door lock z-wave or ZigBee that can be compatible with smart watches and mobile phones?
Pretty much all of them. I have 3 Schlage BE469's. Kwikset would also be fine. Pretty much any z-wave/zigbee lock will be fine for those uses.
The list of compatible devices in the hub documentation includes locks tested by staff and confirmed to work with Hubitat using built-in drivers.
In what way? Manual turning on or off? Or you want auto unlock? Or do you want something more specific that is built into Apple or Android platform?
I want to be able to lock/unlock via the smartwatch.
Also I am not able to see the lock codes for the lock. I just installed an Ultraloq z-wave lock.
thank you
I had the schlage lock and was able to read the lock codes, but with this new ultraloq z-wave lock, I can not fetch the codes, I can't only lock or unlock the door lock. The reason I bought a z-wave lock was to be able to take advantages and integrate it with my smart home. If i can't be able to do that, there is no point to have a z-wave lock, because the wifi will do the same thing.
I use the Level Lock. I have it setup to open with geofencing and the proximity of my iPhone. It works very well and is designed in a way that it shouldn't unlock unexpectedly. It also works with a tap from the Apple Watch.
The Ultraloq brand is known to have limited zwave capabilities. I thought you could still do the codes from the hub but maybe not. I know for sure I had seen people complaining about not being able to see which code unlocked the door. You would have to search the forms or ask Ultraloq about it. Or post more info about why you cannot fetch the codes (like logs...).
For using a smartwatch, you did not specify Apple or Android like I asked (or answer any of my questions really). I can unlock my locks with my apple watch via voice commands. I could probably fiddle around in the app (on the watch) and do it there also. Not sure about Android.
The ability @lairdknox mentioned is more advanced and AFAIK can only work with locks directly integrated to Apple Home. I believe for that you can also set it up so as you approach the door the watch will display an unlock button automatically.
Maybe Alfred is an option.
That's true, I didn't think about that. It has been tied to my HomeKit integration so long I haven't thought about it. The only Hubitat integration I've used with it is for my bedtime routine. It makes sure the door is locked. I haven't thought about the Level in a couple of years -- except for changing batteries.
