My husband has always been kinda leery of smart homes, but I love it. We are in the middle of renovating our forever home and I’ve been slowly adding little automations here and there. Yes, I know I should wait, but I couldn’t help it! Totally confused our contractor when lights started turning on :sweat_smile: Oops. Well, so apparently he can’t meet the painters tomorrow and asked if we could let them in.

Husband: “Can you meet the painters and let them in tomorrow? I’m swamped with work.”
Me: “I’ll do you one better. Give them this code. When do you want it to expire?”
Husband: “You can do that?!?”

...and no, you shouldn't wait - "during renovations" is the perfect time to add and debug new automations, so they'll be 100% ready when you move in. :+1: :grin:

To add, hardwire when you can... Think ahead and try to futureproof as much as possible, and install cable tubes everywhere!
