Hello everyone,
there are several sleep trackers out there and I was wondering, if there is any integration for one, which will let me use sleep as a trigger. Searching for Withings etc. "only" brought up the integration but as I've seen, without the sleep tracking part (no complaint to the developer, I can only imagine how much work this allready was). But still, are there any other options?
There is also eight sleep and sleep number. I think the withings option is the least expensive.
Unfortunately, the Withings API for their sleep pads doesn't expose a sleep or wakeup status, just presence. It's disappointing because of course their system does record this info. Several of us have requested it at their forum but as usual, they ignore any input.

That's really a shame. I've just contacted them directly and asked if there is absolutly no possibility, because according to their API description, there should at least be the possibility to get a sleep status (light, deep, REM), which would also help. I also found there Data Hub, which could help with that (Which devices are compatible with Data Hub? ā Withings | Support). Let's see what they will tell me. I'll keep you posted.
Sure, but they are both extremly expensive and as far as I've seen also not fully integrated. But thanks.
You can get the data, but not in real-time. They report the sleep details after you wake up, which is t useful to support sleep as a trigger. When I contacted them directly they said theyād forward it to an engineer. I think that was a year ago.
Eight sleep does report on your sleep stage in real time, Iāve got logs in Hubitat going from light, deep and awake through out the night. Iām not quite sure what integration pieces you feel itās missing, but as far as tracking sleep in real time... eight sleep does do that.
If inexpensive is also a requirement then presence maybe the best you can track.
You can't get them in Hubitat in RT or in general?
Ok, I've missed that part. My bad.
Not in general, but over 1700 just for the top layer is a teeny tiny bit out of my price range.
Their api does not support it
So in general, not just for HE. Please explain it to me in dumdum. I don't have an IT background.
You may want to check out eBay, their older tracker cover regularly sells there for ~$200. Itās what I use and it will do what you want.
I'll do that. Thank you for the tip.
In general, not HE specific. The withings only reports sleep times after you get up.

Got a generic answer from the support, which didn't help at all...
I'm still on it. Let's see if I can get something to work with within the next few days.
