Just received my third device in as many months. This one ended up working for about 5 minutes then totally quit won't even allow me to exclude it.curious to see if anyone else has had these kinds of issues. I did contact the manufacturer directly and I'm waiting for a response. Figured I would reach out here in case it's some kind of driver issue that I'm dealing with but I'm using the native one.
My siren 6 has worked just fine since day 1. Paired it S2, and have left it alone (other than using it for it's intended purpose).
I paired mine to my C7 a long time ago (9 months?). No idea if I would have issues or not removing/pairing it today.
Wow you just can't get a break with this device... are you sure you are not suffering from power related issues in some way? Did you try different outlets? It's hard to imagine getting a bad device 3 or so times in a row. There has to be something else going on. Maybe it's really "noisy" in the area of the siren for some reason.
My experience has been the same as @JasonJoel's and as I mentioned in the previous thread I had no trouble pairing it with security 8 days ago.. mine appears to be working okay as well. My Aeotec issues have been with MS-6's (mostly resolved), recessed door sensor 7's (driver/quirky firmware probably) and dual nanos (line/load/driver issues probably) but not the sirens Gen 5 or 6.
I didn't think of possible power issues. I suppose I'll try another outlet. However, shouldn't it be irrelevant since it has an internal battery?
That is a good thought but does the internal battery handle brownouts, surges or low power? Also make sure you are not reusing the old power supply...
Moving my siren6 from my C4 to my C7 had me pulling my hair out. If you have a z-stick check for ghosts in pc controller.
I had no ghosts, but had trouble excluding and had to factory reset, but don't recall procedure
