I just connected a new Singled Element Plus bulb to my network and the HE connected very quickly, however the device does not have a command available to change the colorName. I can just set temperature and level. Is there a way to get this command to appear?
Is this a color bulb or just a "shades of white" bulb? What you've described is normal for the latter. If it's really the former, check that you're using the right driver. This is the "Type" dropdown on the device detail page. You'd want some sort of "RGBW" or "Color" driver instead of a "CT" driver. (I'd recommended the Sengled or Generic driver over the Advanced driver for the Sengled devices in familiar with, BTW.)
That being said, the only search result I can find for "Element Plus" suggests that this is, indeed, just a "shades of white" (color temperature, tuneable white, etc.) bulb, not a full color bulb. In that case, your driver is correct, and "Set Color Temperature" is the method by which you change shades of white. Values between about 2000 and 6500 work for many similar bulbs, but the spec sheet for your should say for sure.
Note that in no case do you change the "color name" attribute directly; this is calculated based on the color mode (RGB/color or CT/color temperature) and the current hue/saturation values (for RGB) or color temperature (for CT mode).
If it's a color bulb, change the driver to:
Advanced Zigbee RGBW Bulb
That is what I use on all my Sengled bulbs and it works great. Just don't forget to hit configure after you save the new driver.
