Simple On/Off Z-wave (UK)

Hi,

Simple question, whats the easiest/cheapest for simple On/Off control on z-wave. I've looked at Fibaro switches etc, and going to use them for the lighting but didn't know if there was something cheaper for general on/off.

Are you talking about in wall micro switches?

For the inwall micro I assume its Fibaro or Aeotec unless there are other options?

I meant for when space isn't an issue is there cheaper options?

For example I have a fountain which is a simple on/off on mains power but anything would be in a IP rated box so size isn't an issue if the cost of a unit was cheaper.

These can be had for about 25 each from the smartest house

I've done two different homes with them, dimmers too.
They are eol, but might be kicking around still.

Don't think they're available in the UK - but thank you.

That looks physically the same as the Everspring AN179 which is available in UK spec. I am successfully running several of them. There is no specific HE driver but they work fine as a Generic Zwave Switch .

Thanks Geoff.

I like them because the switched contacts are independent from the input, so you can use them to not only switch 240v but anything else as well.

In the UK, everspring and Philio will be a bit less expensive than Fibaro, but fibaro have more features. Vesternet is a good place to shop and offers quantity discounts if you need five or more. Qubino is another quality brand.

If you have a neutral wire at the switchbox, TKB and Popp both have all in one replacement switches on the UK zwave frequency.

You can get replacement covers in different colors and materials if you want something fancier than plain white, but that will add to the cost.

If you just need on/off and you are switching 240v ac AND you are putting it in a water proof box with plenty of space... use a plugin socket... z-wave or zigbee..
I use a lot of ‘Foxx Project’ socket which used to he cheap but haven’t bought in a while.

Andy

Thanks both - I do have a 3 wire lighting system so that does open up a few different options, thanks for the suggestions.

I'd just found Vesternet, but useful to get a review.
