Simple Lighting stopped working

I have a simple setup with only a few devices and one simple lighting rule that turns on my outdoor lights at sunset and off at sunrise. It's been working fine until a couple days ago. I'm able to control the switch from my Hubitat, but the simple lighting rule is just not executing. I don't see any errors or attempts to run. What should I do to fix my one rule?

That's weird. First thing would be to open the app and hit Done. If that doesn't do it, then remove the app and recreate it.

Thank you for the reply. After I noticed that it wasn't working, I did go into that app and click Done. That didn't fix it. I just deleted the rule and recreated it. Should I have removed the whole simple lighting app and not just the rule?

Well, I tried deleting and re-creating the rule and it did not work. I uninstalled the Simple Lighting app and then re-installed and re-created the rule and that did not work. I'm at a loss. It was working fine for a week or so and then just stopped. Do you have any more ideas?

Thanks,
Jason

Is there anything in the events for the light?
Look to see if the command to turn the light on has been received by the light.

I'm able to control the lights from the web interface or even using the Alexa app so I know the hub is able to control the switch just fine. It's just not sending the on/off at sunrise and sunset anymore.

You can see from the system logs that it did not retrieve the sunrise/sunset on the 19th or since the 20th. I'm not sure why that is.

Reboot the hub. This happened to me too.

I ended up sticking with rule machine after I encountered it.

Thank you. I did try rebooting the hub, but it didn't fix it. I will try a rule machine rule and see if that's more reliable.

I created a rule machine rule last night and the lights did turn on since is was during the night hours. I just checked this morning and the lights did not turn off like they should have. I can see a pending event for 6:27am and it is now 7:03am where I'm at. It seems that a scheduler is not running or something.

I've seen people report issues like this before.
Is your location correct?
From memory I think people have amended their time zone to somewhere else and saved it. Then saved it back to the correct time zone, saved and then rebooted the hub.
Give it a try, it may work for you.

As a matter of interest when you go into System Events - > Location Events, does it show sunset and sunrise events at the correct time?

I just changed my timezone, saved, changed it back and saved then rebooted the hub. I'll see tonight whether it triggers or not. Looking at the logs, it did show the sunrise event this morning. It just didn't tell the switch to turn off.

Well, sunset was at 8:34pm and my lights did not turn on. It's now 9:06pm so it's not impatience. I'm not sure what to do. I have tried resetting my timezone, rebooting the hub, use rule machine, delete and recreate rules etc. I'm at a loss.

Just noticed the dates don’t correspond. There should only be a one day difference between Zulu and EDT. I would definitely get with support.

Good eye. I didn't notice that.

Looking back at your first screen shot, you have had a time/ date issue for a while. Sunrises should have the same date for EDT and Zulu.

This just happened to me also. I have a C5 hub, and another C4, only the new C5 is affected by this.
Jason-What did support do to fix it?

It resolved itself but then it happened again. I ended up switching back to ST. My Hubitat just wasn't reliable and the processing wasn't any faster than my ST.

Aside from time zones being wrong when I initially set my hub up. I’ve never had this issue.

Just curious, did you at least try opening a support ticket with Hubitat?
