@bravenel I just created a simple lighting rule but I seem to have lost the ability to rename it? Did it change or am I missing something?
Hi @inetjnky
When you first click on a rule do you see a toggle to edit the rule name at the bottom?
Mark
To be clear, older simple lighting rules I do have the option to rename, but a brand new rule on the latest firmware I cannot.
Something else to note, that by my screenshot that the start time isn’t holding its value and goes blank after hitting done.
Perhaps remove that Simple Lighting rule and recreate it.
I think I may have been bitten by the IOS Safari bug again... I re-did this from my PC on Google Chrome but last night I was creating the rule on my iPhone on Safari. Is Safari going to continue to be an issue long term?
Looks like a bug, but if you enter the time with a leading 0, it works.
so for 8 enter 08 but for 11 just enter 11 for the hours.
Looking into why Safari decided to change what ever changed, since this was working...
Yeah the time thing was an issue because I selected 4 hours 30 minutes and then selected PM and when I clicked done and went back into the rule it did t show the actual start time but my lights turned on at 4:30am so it seemed to ignore the am/pm designation. Thanks for looking into this Patrick!
Found the issue and this should be fixed in the next release.
I’m setting up simple lighting at a specific time to turn off a light (Lutron dimmer) at 8:00 PM. However, I noticed the “edit rule name” toggle is missing. My workaround is to finish the setup/done and to go back into that specific rule then the “edit rule name” toggle is magically there. Also, it would be nice if by default the rules posted the time triggers in their ruler.name automatically.
