Hi all,
I have a few locations in my house where a switch in the wall controls a receptacle and my house is old enough where there is no neutral in switch box. I can easily rewire to get neutral to the switch box but obviously I will lose the switch leg. So, I'd like to simply replace the switch with a smart switch and the receptacle with a smart receptacle and have the switch, thru HE, control the receptacle. My house is 95% GE/Jasco so that's the receptacle I'm going to use but the switches are a little expensive to be used as a 'dumb' switch. All I need is indication to HE and not the whole actual switching function. Are there any reliable, ZW+, line-voltage, simple in-wall switch/button that you can recommend?
Thanks and Happy NY.
EDIT: After my continuing research, it looks like a good solution is the Inovelli Black switch. It's a reasonable price even with the physical switch feature I don't really need. I couldn't find anything bad about them here on the forum so that's what I'm going with.
