Simple automation rule feature request: groups and alternating colored line rows backgrounds

I’d like to make a request for better organization under the Simple Automation Rules and that is the ability to add individual rules under their own group headers.

I have so many rules that my lists blend together. It would be tremendously useful if I could just have them indented into their own sections ie. “Master Bedroom” rules etc. so that they’re easier to find.

Like we’re able to do with html code/spreadsheets, it would also be easier on the eyes to find line items if we were to have alternating colored lines/rows.

As a workaround until that happens, @lewis.heidrick (“Mister OCD”) uses emojis in Rule and device names to organize things:

I find if you have two separate triggers (sunset, sunrise) its easier and usually more reliable to just do two rules. Also helps to find a way to organize your rules. Whether that is a leading character or emoji or whatever. I like using the emoji's to group my rules and then name the rules the action they are performing. [image]
