This is probably a silly question, but not sure if I need to update my C-5 hubs to 2.2.3? Is that update only for C-7 hubs? I assume bug fixes for C-5 would still be included in new releases but want to make sure before I start this update since it looks like a more complicated update than previous ones.
That complication (update z-wave radio firmware) is only if you have a C-7 hubitat. For all other models, this update is no different than any other platform update.
Some people with C-5 hubs have had problems with locks and 2.2.3.145 and .148, and people with C-3 and C-4 hubs have had lots of problems with the whole 2.2.3 update set. My C-5 is now retired, so I donβt know, 2.2.3.148 works fairly well with my C-7, much better than the early 2.2.3 updates. If what you have is working fine, I would suggest waiting until 2.2.4. Itβs supposed to have a lot of fixes.
I have 2.2.3.148 since it was released and I've encountered no issues.
Before you jump to 2.2.4 consider that 2.2.3 has been out and some/most bugs have been dealt with for pre-C7. When 2.2.4 comes out there will have been a lot of changes and with changes comes a bit of a bug risk.
What I don't know is to what extent 2.2.4 changes will actually apply to the C-4 and C-5 as I understand most of the changes are for the 700 series radio.
Well considering issues STARTED from 2.2.3 and later with C3/C4/C5 hubs I would hope this is a priority issue as well. Features should not be priority over bug fixes.
